This book is great for those of us who like to use alternative therapies instead of, or as well as conventional medicines.The main focus is using the health promoting properties of different types of food, and juicing or blending them in various combinations to help treat health problems. The writer has provided a rationale for each problem and the reasons why the certain combination of food are effective. Some of the problems mentioned are depression, premenstrual tension, arthritis, and colds. For each problem there is also a section on herbal remedies and changes to diet including vitamins and minerals.This book is a valuable resource - try it.

I received this book as a freebie when I ordered my Juice Lady from QVC recently. It is such a helpful book, full of different juice recipes for different ailments. I have CFS (M.E.) and found that particular section of great use. I have asked my daughter to pick up a watermelon for me while she is in Sainsbury's as I want to try the watermelon juice!

Very much recommended for anybody who likes fresh juices and you don't need to buy the Juice Lady to use this book.

Such healing crises are often a sign that the body is ridding itself of toxins. This is known as the Herxheimer reaction, and during the process you might get headaches, chills, skin eruptions, diarrhea, rashes, or cold or flulike symptoms as your body releases toxic substances. The important point is for you not to give up on your recovery efforts. "e;
