So I'm a Parker fan. I read a few of these books years ago out of order, and now I'm starting again from the beginning, which is recommended because characters from earlier books tend to appear in later ones. The novels are short, clipped, crisp, fresh, pacey, exciting, and more. For those that aren't initiated, each novel reads a bit like a Mission Impossible episode, and are at least as fascinating.
This is the 6th in the series and it merits 5 stars. In fact, all the others that come before it do too. The Jugger is a little bit different to the others as there's no 'score'. This doesn't spoil the book. It's classic Parker. What better recommendation is there?
