Judy Lake has been a lampshade maker/designer for over 20 years. She is the owner of Lake's Lampshades in Pawlet, Vermont. She specializes in decorative lampshades working with many unusual vintage fabrics, embroideries and bright contemporary fabrics. Judy studied Studio Art at The University of Vermont. She has always been a Rag Picker... known to dumpster dive for a pretty piece of fabric. Judy shares her many tricks of the trade in her book, The Lampshade Lady's Guide to Lighting Up Your Life. Several times a year Lake has Fabric Lampshade Workshops in her shop in Pawlet Village, Vermont.
