The best of the Big Finish Judge Dredd audio dramas so far, this is a gritty, mean adventure for the galaxy's toughest lawman as he has to go undercover in the Solar System's most notorious penal colony. There he has to get in with the perps and defrocked Judges, ready to fight to save the world from the revenge of... well, a pleasant surprise for anyone who has been reading 2000ad since the early days.

Actor Toby Longworth is the only actor who can make a 2D hero like Dredd work in three dimensions, and he heads an ensemble cast including Doctor Who's Nichola Bryant in a cameo as Lady Judge Mordin. Jonathan Clements's script hits the right note perfectly, both for Dredd's uncompromising obsession with the law, and with the comic strip's never-ending additions of subtle humour and in-jokes. There's even a song. What more could you want?
