A fantastic book telling you all you need to know about getting a job in journalism.

Includes really informative and useful chapters on how to write the best CV and covering letter and how to get the most out of work experience. Plus the author uses real examples of incidents from the experiences of past journalism students- so you can see what has worked and what hasn't.

The chapter on job interviews is particularly good as it tells you what you are likely to be asked in an interview for a job on a newspaper, magazine etc and gives great tips on how best to prepare. Also tells you lots of things you wouldnt have even thought about before or known, especially vital if it is an interview for your first journalism job where there is bound to be a lot of competition. So the book is great if you want to know how to get an edge over the competition.

I followed the advice and tips and got my first job in journalism!!

Great source of info 10 Mar 2010

Format:Paperback
This is a great resource for established and would be journalists alike. Packed full of helpful info. Unlike a number of other books in this area that attempt to give a comprehensive overview of key skills, it manages to do the job without being desperately dull to read.

Good all round.
