Product Description
A film of a unique physcial challenge. Legendary athlete Joss Naylor, retired shepherd from Wasdale, wanted to celebrate his fifty years of fell running. So on the longest day of the year he set off from Mungrisdale in the northern fells of the Lake District to run home to Greendale in the Wasdale valley. 35 miles, 20 Lakeland Peaks, 18,000 feet of ascent in under 15 hours and all at the age of 73. Three films crews, each of them giving him about 30 years, struggled to keep up with him. Friends and family, fell runners he's competed with over the years and commentators like Richard Askwith, author of Feet in the Clouds, ran with him for part of the way, helped him through the pain barrier. The result is an uplifting and challenging celebration of the achievments of a truly world class athlete.

The character of this well know fell runner shines though in this film, he's an inspiration to anyone who would even try to achive half of his goals ---- his human kindness and humour are renown by all the have encountered him.It's a wonderful glipse of the world of the fell runner and the cameraderie they share.

Great DVD, really enjoyed it.
The man is a true legend, and puts us younger fell runners to shame.
I was always curious to see who this Joss Naylor was, I'd heard about him so much from fell running circles, so I initially bought the DVD out of curiosity to see who he was, but I've got to admit I take my hat off to the guy, unbelievable, to achieve what he has done in the past, and still out there doing what he does is amazing.
Really inspirational watching the DVD, well worth the purchase.

Great to be able to view what is something of a minority sport. Beautiful scenery and an inspiring man.

Took me a while to get round to buying this DVD, as I thought it might be too similar "Naylor's Run" which was made when Joss was only 60. Read more
