I bought this book for my wife for Christmas to share with her colleagues at her weekly French conversation class having read an article about the author in a Sunday paper. It's a lovely book, well produced and bound but it's not that cheap.
Josephine is very funny and the cartoons range from the very simple and visual to the quite complex.
The humour is, well, very French and the language is modern, colloquial and idiomatic. Some of the cartoons are actually quite difficult to translate unless you're pretty good at the language. We enjoy it for that reason - it's a bit of a challenge and I can feel volume 2 being added to the collection.
Buy it, you'll enjoy it.
