I bought one of these Joseph Joseph worktop savers as I was getting fed up with using a plain white supermarket one. Not only was my old one boring to look at, and just ended up being thrown into the cupboard after use, it was also not wearing very well. Not one of those items you would like to keep on show in your kitchen.
This bright and funky one is so hard wearing, you can pop it into the dishwasher and it doesn't distort in shape (plastic cheap ones do after a few hot washes).
It can be used on the table for putting hot dishes out of the oven on, using for buttering your bread, cutting veg on the list is endless. There is no smell left on it either, which can happen after cutting onions and other pungent veg.
Basically a great item that can withstand being used and manhandled roughly in your kitchen without it breaking, (plus it is guaranteed). No I haven't tried dropping it on the floor to see if the guarantee works, as I use it everyday.
Plus it looks bright and funky, certainly worth leaving out on your worktop, nothing to be ashamed about with this useful item.

Had two of these now, since we got the first replaced when the back fell off. The second one is now also coming off. We have never put it in the dishwasher and have avoided submerging it when washing it in the sink, but one edge is starting to come away. Would be a great product if the back stayed on.
It has taken 6-9 months for this to happen though (longer on the second since we haven't submerged it when washing).

The product looks great, works great and was great for the first three months of ownership. However it claims to be dishwasher safe and clearly isn't as the back has come away rendering it unattractive and unusable.
Great product if you do not intend to use in the dishwasher! Will be returned as is alledgedly under a 'lifetime gaurantee'!
