What a simple idea for something that can prove quite difficult to manage. No need for lots of storage space it just folds away neatly and tidily.

Love the flexibility of this expandable silicone trivet. It works for casserole dishes as well as cookie sheets, and the silicone withstands the high temperatures. Plus it is great because it stores in a compact size.

I saw this trivet for sale in an art museum gift store. I was intrigued enough to buy it thinking I'd likely never use it, but I was wrong. Everything about it is perfect. It's expandable to fit any size pot, pan or tray you want to put on it. It's lightweight and compact, so it's easy to carry and store. Its silicone construction keeps it from slipping. I can't recommend it highly enough.

Use it for a small pot. Use it for a tray of cookies. I like the silicone makes it so things don't slide around, where pot holders usually can.
