I bought two of these as they looked just the thing for scooping and draining foods.
They are brilliant. They drain almost all the liquid from scoop when lifting vegetables
or separating meat from gravy. I would not want to be without them now.

I got one for the cat box in gray and one for the kitchen in red. It's so much sturdier than any litter scoop! Despite the grossness of having the same tool for the kitchen and litter box, it does well in both places. I was on a liquid post-surgery diet and used this to strain the soups I was having. worked great and was easy to clean. Sturdier than a lot of large colanders, but fits in the utensil holder.

We purchased the larger model at a local kitchen gadget store and found it to be quite useful when wanting to scoop out large amounts from large pots. This one is equally useful but a more manageable size. The hole in the end of the handle is great -- we keep them hanging hear the cooktop.
Since we've had this one only a few weeks and the other only a few months, I'm not sure how durable it will be in the longrun but it seems to be sturdy enough.
