After seeing these scales in my amazon suggestions I was excited to learn about this range. Their products are colourful and look so sensible. I couldn't resist. BIG mistake! To begin with you turn the silver bowl over and place it on the base, which is curved. Only the silver bowl fits on the base, you cannot safely put any other plate, bowl, or even a flat chopping board on top of the scale base. I managed to balance a glass bowl, but the scales wouldn't register its weight. Useless, as quite often you want to add ingredients to items already in a bowl or mixer. The silver basin that fits on top of the scale dips in the middle, so if you put more than 500g of flour in the bowl it spills out over the sides - completely crap. Plus it's very light and feels cheap in quality. It's large and clumsy, so it is difficult to store. I also bought the stacking bowls. Also rubbish quality and the net for the sieve looks like it's about to separate from the bowl. Not impressed with Joseph Joseph. If you're tempted by their style, I suggest you go to a shop and check it out first!
