I have the old Joseph Joseph Index chopping boards and although I think they look fantastic I did find they could move a little when I was using on the kitchen surface. I've just received these and they are a real improvement as they are non-slip on both sides which put simply makes them a much better to use. I do agree that they can mark but as a user of excellent Shun knives I would rather the boards mark than my knives are damaged. The best bit is that I managed to buy them for less than the old version. A great result!

I love this chopping board set, It's really stylish and fits in with all the rest of the colourful stuff in my kitchen. I'm really bemused by the negative reviews gurning about the fact that sharp knives mark the boards with use. Umm, I'm no scientist, but metal is harder than plastic and will therefore mark the boards with use. To avoid this problem, frame your chopping boards on the wall, buy blunt knives, and eat out, otherwise deal with it. PS Tesco do a similar set for £15.00.

Overall a good idea, but really a disappointment - boards very small and not easy to work with. Now gathering dust and I have gone back to the much cheaper but better loose boards.

one board was broken on arrival returned the faulty one and received three replacements and i had to send two back
