Product Description

Product Description

This is a short story. Approx: 3,000 words.
Tyler has major problems. In addition to his drug itch, his girlfriend Delilah getting ready to kick him out of their apartment, and the Celtics starting to fade from their Bird/McHale/Parrish glory, his bookie Joe S. just called. Yeah, that guy. The guy he owes a lot of money. So Tyler has no choice but to do Joe S. the favor that he needs, even if it leads him across town to go looking for a big bald guy they call Cold War.
This is the early 90s in New York City, back when Jordan is starting his run.

5.0 out of 5 stars Gotta love it 13 Nov 2011

A great snippet of Harwood's dark and gritty writing style. Enjoyed it like I do his other stuff. Hope you like it too. Cheap intro to the Seth Harwood writing universe (but it is a short story, be warned if you can't read above).

5.0 out of 5 stars Dark, Brutal, Violent - very good 7 Nov 2011

It's no secret, I love Seth Harwood's writing. He's got that perfect balance of grit and elegance that make his crime writing super engaging and very personal.

Jordan in the Time of Cold War is a great little vignette in the life of a button man, humanizing without glorifying the darkness of a man with a job. It's a brutal story about how a man lets a moment fall out of control, and it leaves you wanting more, but without feeling unsatisfied at the end.

1.0 out of 5 stars Ridiculously short 24 Oct 2013
By Ms. Arlene R. Schiek - Published on
Format:Kindle Edition
Expected a short story, after all it was billed as that, but this was less than a single chapter. It began well but led nowhere.....was it a start for a book yet to be written? Even in a short story I expected a conclusion of some sort.
