Sketches of Jones, a feline living with Hunter S. Thompson

Steadman made these black and white sketches and drawings of Jones the cat while staying with Hunter S. Thompson for two weeks during their Curse of Lono collaboration. Not generally an animal lover, Steadman was won over by Jones and his absolute indifference to the extent that he went shopping for a sketchbook to fill. A paragraph or less of text accompanies most of the illustrated pages. Worthy for Steadman fans, others might thumb through the entire book in less than five minutes and wonder why. I was glad to get a copy and might take it off the shelf every couple years or so for a revisitation.
