I bought this for my son who is just about to turn 4. His nursery teacher said he has refused to try and write letters and he had shown no interest when i attempted to teach him letter sounds. I bought the music cd and played it in the background when he played and i noticed he was enjoying ocassionally singing along. I tried this CD Rom, not expecting a great deal and within one week he now knows all of the first group of letter sounds (SATNIP). He asks to play the games every day and i can't believe how interested he is and how well he is doing! He thinks its great fun and is so proud when i praise him. Since playing the games, when i read to him, he has started picking out letters and he realises that letters make words. The cd has different levels of difficulty and the easy level is perfect for him. I can not recommend this cd rom enough! Worth every penny!!!!!!

This Jolly phonics CD-rom is a great way to help kids learn and improve their phonics, blending, reading and spelling skills. My daughter (now 4) loves 'playing' the 'games'. She started with the the other jolly phonics materials (Jolly songs, DVD)from preschool, and I added this later. Now she's started school (last September), she reads very well, and is way ahead (accordng to her reception teacher).
I like the Jolly phonics products because they make learning fun. They're colorful and thoughtfully put together, hence my daughter loves them

I bought this book based on the reviews. My daughter's teacher said to "get the Jolly Phonics computer disc." I thought, from the reviews, that this was the disc, but it is not - it is only wall charts for use by teachers.
If you want the interactive disc, that is a different product. We did buy that and my daughter loves it. We had to send this one back.

Wrong product reviews?!?!?!
Be aware that the reviews are not about this product, but of the the CD ROM I was really looking for. Quite anoying.

Disappointing
I bought this disk because I know the workbooks and they are so helpful in class. So I found the minimal examples and worksheets on this disk very disappointing.
