I have found these cards a brillant resource to support my 4 year old daughter as she is learning to read. The cards are big enough to stick up on the wall to practise as we have done with the 'tricky words'. We have also used the basic sound cards as flash cards and I feel they are a really good way to reinforce the work that she does at school.

My son really enjoys these cards, we play silly games of charades when he is stuck on the irregular words and he has become highly motivated to build his own words so it's great fun.
In terms of reading skills, even in a week, my son was building words by sounds rather than individual letters and now, after a month he has become far more fluent when reading his school books.
Over all well worth the money!

I'm very pleased with these flash cards. My son is doing great applying the the sounds learnt from Jolly Phonics Work books and applying them to these flash cards. It makes blending the words simple due to the sound dots at the bottom of each word. These work together with the Jolly phonics scheme so together make an excellent investment for homeschooling mums like me!
