Product Description

Andy Serkis, Lord of the Rings, King Kong, Sacha Baron Cohen, Ali G, Borat, Bruno, Milo Twomey, Band of Brothers, and Rebecca Craig star in this hidden gem of British comedy. When Spider played by Andy Serkis, president of the Jolly Boys, gets engaged, his oldest friend, confirmed bachelor and appointed best man, Des sees the end of the legendary Jolly Boys drinking club. Des decides to film the run up to the wedding as a gift to the betrothed hoping the on screen carnage will de rail the marriage. Instead, he learns about true love and friendship but maybe too late to repair the damage he s done. Skilfully scripted and shot in guerrilla fashion (it s the wedding video), it s fascinating to watch Andy Serkis and Sacha Baron Cohen pre fame, delivering some outstanding comic and dramatic performances. Look out for Serkis' monkeying around in the woods which, post King Kong, is probably much funnier than was ever intended. DVD Extras: Commentary from cast and director Original cast auditions at Ealing Studios
