I fell in love with the clothes in the pictures and bought this book in spite of it being written in French. Learning to sew from Japanese patterns, written in French was... challenging. However, after quite a lot of swearing, I have made about 6 of the projects in this book and, with the help of Google Translate, have acquired a whole new sewing vocabulary. I found if I translated the pattern first - making notes in the margins - then executed it, this saved me a lot of time. Translating as you go is going to get you in hot water. Now I am a more experienced sewer, I find that the diagrams alone get me through most of these patterns - they are simple and very clear. I have made the smallest size for my daughter - she's nearly 3 and they fit perfectly. They are a refreshing change from anything you can buy in the shops. They look very expensive once made. I lobbed off a star because, ideally, it would be in translated into English.
