2.0 out of 5 stars Just not very good, 4 Nov 2008
This has been hyped for a while but i felt it was a big let down. The artwork, character and presentation of the Joker look as though they've been heavily influenced by Heath Ledger's look in Dark Knight...no bad thing until you realise its actually not done even half as well as it was in Dark Knight. Maybe they got a glimpse of the movie before the rest of us... The story is also very bland; no insights into the Joker's psychology and the plot is painfully linear. Reading this makes you realise just how incredible The Killing Joke and The Long Halloween are...

5.0 out of 5 stars the best since the killing joke, 30 Nov 2008

well first of all it's awsome!! The drawing are great the Joker looks exacly like Heath Ledger and if you loved him as the joker as i did you will love this. Second of all the story is great well i won't tell you what it's about but it's awsome. And third of all there alot of other villans in this awsome story like Two-Face, Killer croc, Riddler and penguin! Which is very cool. And last of all if you think you read all about the joker well you haven't until you have read this. well don't take my word for it read it your self!

3.0 out of 5 stars Well I liked it., 22 Jun 2009
I liked this book, I thought the artwork was dazzling, especially the painted pictures, never before has The Joker looked so striking or so cool. The re imaging of Gotham was cool and interesting.

Though it wasn't a particularly deep tale and certainly not the definitive take on The Joker, he lacked a lot of style a finesse that makes him such a popular villain. The plots basic enough and a lot of the themes that run through the book are spelt out. Unlike Alan Moore's brilliant tale "The Killing Joke" this book won't leave you thinking about it once its done.

I'd say its worth a read through, but certainly not a classic or something worth obsessing over. Make sure not to engage your brain while reading this and its fun enough to warrant purchasing.
