I have been searching in vain for artist similar to The Prodigy and Pendulum but with no luck, they are either too hardcore dnb or a rock band which is not the same. I stumbled across this album on amazon and its brilliant. If you, like me, have been searching for this rare genre I totally recommend you buy this album. epic. (still not as good as The Prodigy however!)

Very good album 5 Dec 2009
Format:Audio CD
Unlike other reviews I feel it is unfair to compare The Qemists to Pendulum, As
personally I found the qemists to be far better with more variation in there music, and they are less mainstream.

This is an excellent album and one I wouldnt leave the house without in my CD folder.

Peace

This is a fantastic album.

Like the above reviewer I discovered these guys on a Ninja Tune compilation. They have a real raw guitar based energy about them, unusual to drum and bass. Stompbox the opening track is a raw, noisy track which really sends your pulses racing and the whole album continues in this vane. They have a more underground sound that Pendulum have shyed away from(in my opinion a bad decision. Drum and Bass, dance, even rock and metal fans will love this album

'When you're lonely' reminds me of 'Voodoo people' from the Prodigy so I see where the comparisons come, but in truth The Qemists are in a league of their own

Class.
This album is a fantastic peice of music. It screams the feeling of daft punk with a touch of, and this may sound dodgy, the likes of pendulum. Read more

The (best?) record I own
After listening to Hadouken's "for the masses" from the five albums that
arrived that one day, I took "Join the Q" with much prejudice. Was it
justified? Not on earth. Read more

Move over Pendulum....
This album is jam packed full of heavy beats, face melting electronic riffs and lots of bass. If you didn't like Pendulum's most recent pile of crap, I fully recommend this. Read more

Gotta love it
This album is so intense, I am supprised to say that barely anyone I know has even heard of the band, even when one of the tracks "Stompbox" was featured in the film Jumper. Read more

Was expecting better
There are a couple of good (not great) tracks on this CD. I was expecting something along the lines of Hold your colour i.e consistently good, but was dissapointed.

One of the most impressive albums I've heard in a long time!
I bought this album a few weeks ago after stumbling across one of their songs somewhere.

I then went on Spotify and listened to their album and within 10 minutes- BOOM! Read more

Utter rubbish - it gets one star cos you have to, I'd give it 0
Having heard of the buzz surrounding these individuals and the front of the Cd having a Radio1 DJ endorsing it (with yet another comment about how these guys could be the next... Read more

If you like Pendulum minus the dodgy vocalist this is for you.
I discovered this band/group from a Ninja Tune compilation. It contained Drop Audio & a remix of Coldcuts - Atomic Moog. Not a group I'd have thought would be signed to Ninja Tune. Read more
