I've just received the soundtrack CD and am listening to it while editing my Becoming Jane fanfiction at the same time. The musics in the CD are so beautiful, they move me tremendously.
The cheerful musics (A Game of Cricket) for instance, really make me want to dance. The soulful ones (e.g. Rose Garden) made me see again the scenes between Jane and Tom in the rose garden by the pond... The rather sorrowful ones (like Mrs. Radcliffe) made me wish that I have the DVD now to re-watch it. Now, I'm looking for the music in the second ball - I might have missed it...
If you've watched the movie, get this CD. Either you like or dislike the premise (that Jane Austen and Tom Lefroy shared serious love), or loving it so much (such as I do), get it. And if you have yet to see it, get the CD as well - as it will make you want to see the movie so.
Kudos to Adrian Johnston and all musicians here. I'm appreciating this soundtrack with the same level as the soundtrack of Sense and Sensibility (1995) - and perhaps even more!
