As you would expect from one of the countries leading authorities on all aspects of anglig, John Wilson has excelled with this publication. It must've been a mammoth task to write an encyclopaedia on any subject, let alone one that is so diverse as angling. All of the people who have lent their help to John with this book, have added an extra touch of specialist knowledge in certain areas of the book.
The book leaves no stone un-turned, from tackle and techniques to species and fish locators. This book should have a place in every anglers home.

Of the 10 or so fishing books I have, this is probably the most useful as it covers everything from British Coarse fishing, Game Fishing & Sea Fishing..... to more exotic things like Big Game fishing for Marlin & Sharks.
It even gives you a description of how to prepare various baits, and fish you're likely to catch from the most likely to more rarer things no one bothers to fish for seriously.

An absolute must have for any fising beginner. It explains all types of fishing in easy to follow text and with helpful illustrations. An excellent reference book for any would be fisherman/woman!
