His work ranges from classic art nude studies and location nudes to a wide range of fetish and erotic studies.
John is known for his contrasty and edgy style of studio lighting as well as his skill with location work. This is his first book and it contains a fine collection of images, ideas and creativity
About the Author
An award winning photographer with work submitted to national and international exhibitions and competitions.
John mainly concentrates on print sales and selling his work through his website as well as exhibiting at various galleries and venues throughout the year.
John is a member of the Royal Photographic Society, gaining his Associate distinction in 2005. He is also a member of The Guild of Erotic Artists.
Most of John's work centres around erotic/fetish and artistic nude, however he is a very proficient landscape photographer too and often combines the two!

John Tisbury Photography: Curves
I have to admit that I had very high expectations for this book and my first reaction was slight dissapointment. 95% of the photos included are stunning as I expected the problem comes with the pictures that are over 2 pages. I don't know if it is the way the book is printed but they don't line up.
To me this book screams to be made in a large hardback version that could be used as a coffee table book. This would truly reflect his work which is stunning.
Overall it is a good book and I would reccomend it to anyone

I came across John Tisbury's work in a bizarre, 'only-on-the-internet' way. I was looking for a Photography Club, found the one John is a member of (Rushden) and saw his photos for the first time on their website. I was stunned, to put it mildly. I thought.. this guys good.. has he got a website..? Google found that for me. More photos to be amazed by...! Oh, he has a book too...! So, I bought the book.
I can see what the previous reviewer, Mr M Barnes, means about the photos which are across 2 pages. Ideally avoided, but it doesn't detract too much, in my view. There are plenty of his stunning pics which do not cross a page...!
His pictures are basically in the art nude and/or fetish nude style. But they are far from the run-of-the-mill pictures in these styles - they are so much better than the norm. John has a long list of awards for his photographs to his name and I can see why.
If you like his work already - buy the book. If you think you might like his work, check out his pictures on the web - then buy his book.
