The book seems to be aimed at children or low literacy rated readers. Basic. Informative. Interesting

5.0 out of 5 stars A great book for all to read., 9 Nov 2001
By A Customer
This review is from: John Taylor Lord Taylor of Warwick - Barrister (Black Profiles) (Hardcover)
It is easy to think that because someone is a Peer or Lord they are superhuman or have some other mysterious powers. This book shows that you can be a Lord and be a real person with feelings and your feet firmly on the ground. Lord Taylor is a man of great feeling and great understanding of what it means to be human. This book shows how great leaders are made and is a role model for all children to follow. It should be standard reading on all children's reading lists.

5.0 out of 5 stars From Lawyer to Lord, 26 July 2001
By A Customer
This review is from: John Taylor Lord Taylor of Warwick - Barrister (Black Profiles) (Hardcover)
I thoroughly enjoyed reading this book. I found it inspiring and well written. It is a true story of a young man of Afro-Caribbean background who becomes a member of the House of Lords. He meets difficulties along the way but achieves his goals by retaining his vision.

I found the front cover particularly attractive and the pictures in the book did not detract from the storyline. I have some friends who have also read the book and they also feel it has a very positive message. Hopefully, it will inspire young people of all ages, colours and backgrounds to follow their dreams.
