I don't read much, but this book I could read over and over and over again. Not many peoble see the humour in his stories. All of a suddy you're sent on this hysterically funny journey through a jumble of stories that make sense but don't. Loved it to bits!!!!!

A wonderful book that I have enjoyed since I purchased it back in the sixties. I quote the book often. The humor is priceless and will last forever. The world lost a gem, it's too bad he didn't live to write more than he did.

While it is hard to look objectively at the work of
the former beatle, it must be said that this work is truely
original. Lennon's creative and sometimes abusive usage of
the English language is an excellent look into one of the
most brilliant minds of the twentieth century. While at times
the humor seems redundant and a bit over done, Lennon
mixes it up enough to keep the reader interested. This is a
wonderfully fun and fanciful collection, and any lover of the
English language will enjoy this clever collection. Though he's
not Shakespeare he is definately and defiantly Lennon.

Lennon writes in the same style as the famous Lewis Carroll. His poems/stories are a mixture of "gobbldeygook" and brilliant sarcasm which will leave you howling with laughter. Each page is different and captivating. This book isn't like anything you've ever read before-IT'S BETTER.

Anything by John Lennon is bound to be great, this book being no exception! I love this book, and the twists at the end of some of the stories. It's no wonder he got an award for it. I love it and recommend it to everyone!!

I read and bought this when I was a kid when it first came out . It stayed with me all my life. His humor was cynical and dry,: but asolutely right on target with the times that past and the times to come. Hilarious and not so funny but completely understood. A book that I would love to repurchase when I return back to work and have an income again. To pass on to my kids and my grandkids. A shame to have lost such a vibrant, intelligent and loving man. He gave me the will to survive a very dysfunctional life. His music and his write may they live forever.
