John Irvine has taught Physics in Scotland since 1976 and has worked in a number of schools across the country.
He first became a Principal Teacher of Physics in 1982 and has been PT Physics in two schools in Fife - firstly at Beath High School and then at Queen Anne High School.
After many years of teaching Physics to national examination requirements in Scotland he therefore has a wealth of experience of the standards required for success in the Higher Physics examination.
He has used this experience to write two books to help students who are studying the traditional Higher Physics course.
The "Higher Physics Success Guide" covers all the required course content with practice examples and full answers.
The "Higher Physics Grade Booster" gives advice on how a student can apply his or her knowledge of the course content in order to maximise the marks gained in the national Higher Physics examination. This book also explains ways in which students can avoid making common mistakes when answering examination questions.
