If you've heard one of John Digweed's sets in the last few months ago, then there's few surprises here; the first disc is minimal and slightly slower, drawing you into a mellow journey of tech house. The second disk picks up the pace without losing any of the sleek coolness you get from a high end mix of electronic dance music. All in all, it makes for a great combination. It's minimal but never boring, with always new notes and melodies floating over the beats. Disc two especially is danceable as hell, and would sound great in a club, while not feeling out of place on a late night chilling at home either.
The DVD is a nice addition and makes the set even better value for money. The thirty minute documentary is very interesting and well shot, with the only disappointment being the short length. The live mix is awesome as well, although I was hoping we would get the picture of the club and dancefloor as it unfolded, rather than only audio. Either way, it's a nice extra to a great package. Overall, it's not the most innovative couple of discs Bedrock have ever put out, but it's certainly up there with the best, and more than worth the price.
