The one thing which redeems this game is that it is based on a farm environment, which does not get looked into by most gaming companies(although John Deere doesnt generally do games?) theres games such as Zoo tychoon which are based on animals but you never really get to look after the crops you feed your animals.
now if your expecting a very different game, this is where it stops, this game is very much a tychoon game, it seems to have made it a click and move game with the basic tychoon elements still intact, you still get random offers, you still have to meet deadlines, and there still alot of silly bugs which make no sense(like farmhands disapearing randomly)
i would say that this game has made no breach in any gaming style and defiantely does not brake any graphical records, and sometimes the game does feel rushed, as though a farmer cant wait for his crops to grow?(and in the mean time look after the animals) which is utterly stupid, but i guess the one big factor about this is that it does give some very good moments, the best part about this game is the fact that you can atleast watch some farming action and have (very basic) actions with the farmland.
if they were to bring out a sequel(which they wont) i would say the thing which would bring this game to life would be sheer indepthness of animations and graphics, if they made it so that you could watch the tractor from first person or a very close third person, and the farmland was more detailed and the animals had ALOT more animations, then maybe the tychoon factor wouldnt matter, and we would have a game which normal people could buy and just watch the farmers and animals go about their business, overall this game has lots of potential due to farming being a tip of the iceberg in the gaming world.
