He has been regularly broadcasting into the homes of over 6.5m viewers in his own primetime BBC One show (John Bishop's Britain) as well as starring in A League of Their Own (Sky1), but the public clearly haven't seen enough of him yet. Due to overwhelming popular demand, this 'Comedy Superstar' (Telegraph) embarks on a brand new set of dates later in 2012 to be filmed for DVD and Blu-ray, making the official announcement that, despite everything, he is not quite ready for a holiday…. just yet.

Watched this the other night. It was ok. No, better than ok, it was pretty good. It just wasn't as good as his 2011 show. I think its a problem a lot of comedians have when they get really successful; their stories get more showbizzy and less "normal". All credit to the man though, he doesn't try to hide it. I just didn't find the stories as interesting as his previous shows.
It is value for money though, a nice long show. Not like that fat money-grabbing rip off merchant Peter Kay.

The thing is - you either love him or hate him. My partner hates the Scouse accent and claims to 'hate him'. However, he always laughs when he hears Mr Bishop chatting about his life. This is because it mirrors our own lives - and it is very funny. Personally, I think the guy is hilarious and clever. Gotta say - the ending of this DVD is very funny. It is worth the money. Also, the usual stuff from Amazon. it arrived on time etc, etc. Buy it and have a laugh!!!
