.....the instruction leaflet was missing. I had to do it by just looking at the picture on the box which was very difficult.Makes a lovely rag doll if done properly and definately worth £4.99.

The doll wasn't quite what I had expected. All you get is a plastic head in two halves, which you need to put some pink wool strands through then you have to, tie the neck and the waist, hands and feet while plaiting the arms and legs with wool. The face is also covered with the strands of wool.
There were not enough brown strands of wool for the dolls hair, at times it appeared bald, so we are now going to try and stick it down. Be careful when your child is trimming the hair. Our doll's hair turned into a neat bob cut! We managed to cut out the pink felt nose using a hole puncher. The dress for the doll wasn't quite like the picture on the box. The material easily frays and needed to be very lightly ironed. When we dressed the doll, it seemed she had nothing on as the dress was completely see through even with the netting. Quite shocking! Therefore, we had to make a white petticoat separately, taking the netting as a pattern. There was no stitching required as the dress needed to be glued on. Except for the awful smell of the glue, which hopefully will go in a couple of days time, the doll is quite cute and almost looks like Cleopatra. We'll be making sure to put some perfume on her.

My daughter and I had great fun making this doll yesterday and she is very pleased with the results. She is almost 7 and loved learning to plait and making the face. However it was not something she could have made on her own, so don't buy to have a quiet afternoon for yourself. I think that they must have changed the glue as it no longer smells.
