One of many marionette series created by Gerry Anderson for ITC. Joe 90 was a 9 year old secret agent prodigy able to take on the brain patterns of who ever he wanted to be. Music was composed by Barry Gray who scored pretty much everything produced by Gerry Anderson. On Joe 90, Gray employed a vast musical palette - from Latin flourishes to military marches, from classical orchestrations to twanging electric guitar, it's not quite the callibre of say a Jerry Goldsmith or a John Barry but it's unusually sophisticated for a series aimed at children and proves to be a highly enjoyable listen. Sound quality overall is good with many of the tracks in stereo. The booklet provides formative notes on each cue and includes a good selection of pictures.
