Indeed this is the same as Gorillapod micro 800, at least by what I can see on the Gorillapod site, comparing to what I have in my hands.
Very good material, robust. It holds my sony NEX 6 with the SELP1650 with no problems, but struggles to (although it is able to) hold the SEL55210 (telezoom). The rubber feet keep it from scratching the bottom of the camera, also I placed a little plastic sheet betwwen the circular screw mount and the bottom of the camera to protect from scratches, as some users claimed this could be a problem. I never take it out of the camera, because it almost feels like it isn't there.

Happy customer here, although obviously not a cheap product for what it does and what it is...If you want quality, expect to pay...that's what I did.
