I bought this tripod to use with a Flip Mino HD camera and it works perfectly. It comes with a standard screw thread to attach a camera, so just about any can be used with it.

The legs are fully flexible to either act as a normal tripod, bent to go on an uneven surface or wrapped around objects for extra grip. The construction seems very sturdy and well put together. It folds to a tiny size for carrying and easily fits into a bag.

Because of the flexibility, the one limit so far that I've found is that it is suitable for lightweight cameras such as the Flip Mino or a compact digital camera. It isn't really suitable for use with a DSLR as they are too heavy.

Highly recommended

Never have I seen such a useful and versatile tripod. It can practically be morphed into any shape you want and still hold a camera (Panasonic TZ10 in this case). Have to say I couldn't be happier with this purchase. I don't see why anyone would go for a solid frame tripod after playing with one of these for a few minutes.

My only concern is the durability of the product. It seems very strong, but I do wonder just how much being and moving it can take before one of the parts break. But it's just an wonder, not a criticism.

Great product and cheap for what you're getting.

When you are the photographer in the family it can often be a real challenge to get into the photo, but not since having this excellent tripod. I like the thing so much I will probably get one for the SLR... get one you will not regret it

This tripod is the ideal accessory to those miniature HD camcorders now on the market. For the Vado and the Flip Mino, it is sturdy and holds the camera in any position that you set. It is only for those types of camera though. If you want to use a Gorillapod for your SLR, Bridge or a Hybrid, then this will not do. Nor will it work for a standard video camera such as a Handycam. You must go for a larger model. The Gorillapod though, will wrap around door handles, backs of chairs, shelves and even tree branches. It slips easily into a coat pocket along with the Vado. Highly recommended for the smaller HD video cameras.

What can I say about this little gem, other than why didn't I find this years ago? It's the perfect travel companion for a compact camera, as it's small enough to fit into a pocket, but versatile enough to use when trying to get the perfect image. It comes with a standard screw fitment, and comfortably supports my Nikon L21 camera, as well as its predecessors.

The flexible legs mean that it can adapt to any uneven surface, and can be wrapped around most objects (including my wrist) to ensure that the camera is in the right place for what I am trying photograph, and it has now become an essential part of my camera kit.

I love this. It is very light and great for travelling, hiking and cycling trips. But the the ball joints split after a while. You can't see the splits very well unless you look hard. But you can tell because the legs go limp and will no-longer hold a camera up. Or it will, but then collapse a minute later. The bigger version should last longer but then it too big to be handy. I'm using a Canon Powershot S110. Great while it works but then useless when the balls split.

I bought this as a gift for my teenage niece who had requested a tripod for her small digital camera. This fitted the bill perfectly. It's easy for setting up on uneven surfaces, especially for outside photography. What's more for the fashion conscious the choice of colours meant she could have a blue one to match her camera!

I have looked at these for a long time and having bought this one I wish I had bought one years ago. I use it with my GoPro camera and my Cannon pocket camera. Very versatile and surprisingly useful. Grips awkward locations well and so adjustable to get the perfect camera angle. Recommended.
