The book aims to dissect his chosen films, which include Goodfellas, Clockwork Orange, La Femme Nikita, in relation to; how cool the plot is, what is the coolest thing about the film and what are the most interesting titbits about the film and its stars. The real beauty of this book is the genuine examination of the films. It cleverly avoids the boring details and is ‘brutally’ honest about awful aspects/scenes of some films. Berge makes no bones that not every cool film will have slick stunts, sharp editing or even the best storyline in the world. If you’re a bit fainthearted about big and even little swear words this book is NOT for you, but if you respect a ‘JoBlo dude’ who shoots from the hip and reportedly still lives in his parents garage, then log on, credit card out and settle up.

This is fan film reviewing, and all the better for it. These are good to read and it's an ideal book to delve into rather than read straight through. There's some good information and the writer's approach is ideal for fans. This is a good one for movie buffs.

Keep it in the bathroom,

Not the sort of book you're likely to just sit down and read - although if you did it would only take about half-an-hour - but more likely one you'll 'dip' in-and-out-of over a period of time so keep it in the bathroom to browse through whilst 'sitting down'.JoBlo is obviously a fan and if you like movies that's why you'll appreciate this book as well. Forget box-office figures or Oscar-winning performances this book is about films that are *cool*, so while we all know that some of the entries are rubbish - La Femme Nikita being a prime example - they are undoubtedly *cool*. They look cool, they sound cool, they have cool actors/directors and they are great fun to watch while munching popcorn and losing yourself in another world for 100 minutes or so. Geta copy, have a giggle every time and remind yourself of why you love certain movies despite yourself.
