I'm a writer of young adult fiction bear books - an activity that has much tradition. I've created a host of new bears and branded the series as 'The New Bears for the 21st Century.' My books are intended for intelligent adolescents and young-at-heart adults.
My central protagonist is Brosnan Bear and through his journeying I have introduced a number of other characters such as his Irish uncle, Furry O'Mara, his Scottish uncle, Ranald Ironclaw, and the mighty polar bear, Snowball Olofsson.

Maturer readers inform me that they enjoy my bear stories as I write in an updated modern fashion with cross generational appeal (sometimes called the kidult genre).
My background is in lecturing in a range of topics from music business analysis to creative writing, and from ICT to media studies and sociology.
