Jo Schofield and Fiona Danks

Fiona Danks and Jo Schofield are writing a series of fully illustrated books to inspire children and families to get outdoors and have fun. Each book is packed with ideas to explore the natural world, including adventures, games, creativity, bushcraft, imaginary play and discovering wildlife. They hope to raise awareness of the many benefits children gain from interacting and reconnecting with wild places whether playing in the local park or exploring a distant mountain.

Fiona and Jo work in partnership with other organisations, including Natural England and the National Trust, to make outdoor play and exploring the natural environment more accessible to a wider audience. They run family workshops at events such as book festivals and also contribute to conferences and training days to encourage good practice in environmental education. They both live in rural Oxfordshire with their families.
