I'm a JoJo fan so you can already tell this review's going to be biased but I'll try my best. This is very cheap (I picked it up for £6 or £7), but the version on the PlayStation Store offers an exclusive costume for Johnny. If you want to pay twice the price, go for it, but this is great value on here.

As a fighting game, it's missing a lot of stuff. When the game first came out it was an absolute mess - grabs did negligible damage, infinite comboes galore, terrible choppy framerate, and three-minute loading screens. Since then, it's improved tenfold. CyberConnect2 have put a lot of work into the game and its updates, so it looks and feels a lot better. Bear in mind loading screens still take about 40 seconds.

You only start with about a third of the cast, but unlocking the rest is pretty easy - just play through the Story mode.
BEWARE - THERE WILL BE SPOILERS. The story mode doesn't hold back and tells you exactly who dies and what happens. It's done through voiced text, so there are no cutscenes. Localisation isn't GREAT - there are a lot of memes the translators have thrown in (You mad, Come at me bro, Everything's coming up Kira), and to avoid copyright claims they've had to change names (ie. Polnareff is now Eiffel, Sticky Fingers is Zipperman, Aerosmith is Li'l Bomber) but the characters still call out the proper names in Japanese. That's the other thing - the game audio is entirely Japanese, with English subs. I actually prefer that but if you're not one for reading, beware.

There are 9 DLC characters priced at £1.69 each. So far I have 5, but I'd like to get a full roster sometime.
There are absolutely tonnes of alternate costumes and palettes, I still have to get them all.

What a great game, what else can i say? with the raise in popularity worldwide of JoJo in general lately, i'm looking forward to many more anime's, games and other merchandise.
If you're a JoJo fan, this is for you.
If you haven't a clue, this will still be an interesting and colorful game to add to your fighting game collection.
Since it arrived i've played it non-stop and i've actually got the Platinum Trophy completely by accident, just by enjoying the game to its fullest.
I can't recommend it any more.

The English version fixes the nasty frame rate issues the Japanese version suffered from, though loading times are still a bit lengthy. Overall a good fighting game, and a fantastic Jojo game

When my cousin Saud lend me this game for a while & tried playing it on my PS3, I was really amused , cause , how they made it, it's somewhat, different from any other fighting games I've played in the past, like just press square button then you'll full combo attack, simple as that, no need for complicated buttons like in Tatsunoko Vs Capcom to perform one combo, it's the way I like it to be. 2nd I love about this game is the graphics & character art style is AMAZING, I really love everything about this game, it's my 5th favorite anime games I've played, 4th one being J - Stars: Victory Vs, overall, this is a really fun game especially when playing against a friend.

This is a must have for any Jojo fan especially if you are a fan of the Manga, this game has plenty off game modes to keep you entertained which are story mode were you follow the story of the Jojo Manga chapters 1 to 8, campaign mode were you play varies of fights to unlock medals and extras like costumes taunts ect, Versus mode were you can play online or offline which ever takes your fancy and the classic arcade mode which we all remember and love. The graphics is lovely animated art style with great colour and flashy effects, Game play is an easy to pick and play with 3 attack buttons low, medium and high and each character has their own main moves and you can easily apply one by just tapping the low strike which gives out a little combo that leads to one off their signature moves as long as you have 1 gauge filled on the HH meter. This game can keep you entertained for hours definitely worth a buy.

Great game, disappointing shipment. Took an extra week to be dispatched to Italy, but was definitely worth the money and time ;^)

It's a fun and quirky game if you're a fan of the Jojo series. It's qualities as a fighting game are a bit lacking however, so unless you want to pick this up because the setting, characters and moves interest you, i'd avoid it. Picking this up just because you're a fan of fighting games will lead to disappointment.
