Works with 3G iPhone 10 Sep 2008

Thought i would take a gamble with this after replacing my iphone with the new 3g version and finding none of my car chargers work! Something to do with Apple doing away with Firewire Charging on the latest 3G phone, and 99% of third party chargers have voltage for firewire/usb voltage, which is not compatible with the new phone.

So i can confirm it works with the 3G iPhone, just ensure you use a genuine Apple Ipod USB cable between the charger and your phone.

Does not charge iPhone!! 14 Sep 2009

This product does not charge an iPhone in my car (VW Golf MkV) or in any other car I have tried. It did successfully charge my Blackberry. Waste of money for iPhone! I have since had to buy another in car charger/fm transmitter (Griffin - itrip auto) which works without problem.

Great little in car charger for 3g model of the iPhone although you need your own white iPhone cable to charge.
