Format:Audio CD
The first time a cartoon rabbit was used on an album sleeve was for the ABC Paramount one of 1976 At The Hop which played on the idea of a rabbit hopping.
The music used for the series of Jive Bunny album kept well into this pre Beatles era (though later Jive Bunny issued a Beatles songs collection)
By the late 80s there was no problem with sampling as long as permission was obtained which they couldn't get from Graceland so an Elvis impersonator had to be used for the relevant songs on the first chart topping single.Before Jive Bunny the Colorbox/A R Kane concoction known as M A R R S had topped the charts with Pump Up The Volume and were threatened with court action over using samples without permission and its why the "song" is credited to nearly 40 writers!
However Jive Bunny should be seen as one of the most important events of the decade-introducing 50s and 60s music to a new generation
