Christmas doesn’t look too promising for the two mice Lottie and Jack with that Cat hanging about and spoiling their fun. When Cat writes a note informing Father Christmas that the mice have gone away for Christmas, Lottie and Jack decide to consult the clever rat Ton-Chee. Hers is a humorous solution which ensures that the mice will know when Cat is preparing to create havoc.

Shared this with my Year 2 class and they loved it, asked for it again and the bell on the book is a nice touch. Illustrations are great, well up to the usual Butterworth standard.

A lovely book, with a twist! Bought this some years ago & it's been popular with my son and his younger cousins on christmas sleepovers. All the children have loved it!

This is a lovely story of two mice who are tired of being bullied by a cat, and so they turn to a neighboring rat, Tonchee, for help. It is well written and wonderfully illustrated. My 4-year-old enjoys this book a lot.
