5.0 out of 5 stars The perfect book for a new reader! 7 Oct 2000
Format:Paperback
I purchased this book for my 7 year old, who has just begun reading chapter books, during a recent visit to London. Although she had a little trouble at first understanding British expressions (i.e. telly, budge over) she ended up reading the entire book in one sitting. Then the next day she read it all over again. She particularly loves funny stories and characters she can identify with. This book had both! (My ten-year-old daughter also loved "The Lottie Project".) Jacqueline Wilson must be the U.K.'s answer to Judy Blume. We're happy we've found her!

4.0 out of 5 stars Great Fun! 24 Jun 2008
Format:Paperback
Jimmy Jelly is little Angela's favorite TV personality!
She imagines he's everywhere with her and thinks he's her bestest friend, until he comes to the local shopping mall.

This entertaining story will delight any child (or adult) who has ever had an imaginary friend. With fun characters, true delicate references to life, this book is great reading material!

Book review by 'SHAPE LAND Trevor Triangle Loses the Mail' author, Helen Wendy Cooper.
