If Jimmy Carr is your cup of tea, the DVD is unlikely to disappoint - it features a show from his recent tour (recorded in Glasgow), together with some earlier appearances in Montreal (2003, 2006, 2007) and the after show signing session in Glasgow as extras. The extras are similar in style and are a good complement to the main show.

It mostly consists of one liners, not unlike his other work. He interacts pretty well with the audience and manages to both pay them back in kind, as well as be fairly acceptable and friendly at the same time. He certainly goes a bit further than on '8 out of 10 cats', as this is a DVD and not subject to the same 'propriety' criteria but compared to the recent Frankie Boyle he is pretty palatable - maybe still not something one would want to watch with ones parents (cannot really think of stand up comedy one would) but certainly something you can give as a gift without worrying about negative consequences.

With the exception of someone like Stephen Fry, I guess Jimmy Carr is still one of the more cerebral comedy acts out there and he's no different on this DVD.

This was one of my Christmas presents to my son. We watched it together and had a good laugh. Jimmy Carr is brilliant.

I am a huge Jimmy Carr fan, owning all of his stand up DVDs and having seen him in concert a couple of times, and I found this DVD to be one of his best yet. Jimmy is known for his one-liners and audience interaction, and he excels in both in this DVD. If you are not a fan of one-liners (for example as some of the negative reviewers stated) then a Jimmy Carr DVD probably isn't for you! But if you are a fan of Jimmy Carr then this DVD certainly will not disappoint! Fantastic DVD, highly recommended!

Pretty much what you would expect, which is a recommendation if you are a fan.

There are so many great one liners that unlike lots of stand-up DVD you can watch it several times and still enjoy it.
Maybe it's not quite as good as last years but it is still very funny.

The DVD is so funny, with sick jokes and adult racy gags, I was at the show myself, recorded in Glasgow in 2009 as part of the Rapier Wit tour

Jimmy really rips the mick out of life itself, and the brave audience members who try and heckle him, but I had forgotten some of his well-delivered never missed a beat gags.

He is now on his new eagerly awaited 'Laughter Therapy' 2010 tour now!

No one is immune from his UN-pc one-liners, please don't let kids watch this and definitely do not watch it with your parents LOL as it IS adult and contains strong humour!

I like the fact there are EXTRA scenes when you think its just the show, what are especially funny, are the unexpected unrehearsed things the audience say to him as he stops for autographs, when they meet him at the end for signings. He looks a bit worried at times and ends the scene swigging some Buckfast out the bottle! And the awfully nice chap who is about to propose to his girlfriend with Jimmy's help, he asked if he could sign his ticket and added the message 'will you marry him?' I wonder if she said yes?

Jimmy Carr handles the rude hecklers effortlessly and he totally delivers improvised answers with ease and puts them down a peg or two.

It is fantastic comedy viewing, and it gives a real flavour of his latest show, it is extremely humorous and he admits he chose Glasgow to record the DVD at because it is 'a fun place' and he always gets a really good response from the audience members.

As you are probably aware he reguarly presents the odd TV show, but he has been toned down ,this is him uneditted and at his witty best.

With his sauve suit and posh accent he is one of a kind and really gets the vote off me !! Am off to see him in Feb 2011 at this same venue.

Best watched with the friends round on a Friday night in! Enjoy!

This DVD contains some excellent material, and some merely average as you would expect from a long set. Most people's tastes will be catered for here and as long as language doesn't offend then you should enjoy this. Also look at the extras from some early live sets in Canada where you can see some of the very best of Jimmy.
