I have watched this,and I really enjoyed it.
No music in it but it is good to hear Jimi talking and giving his views out.
Although he is a man of not too many words,he shines through because of his friends describing his life story.
Take no notice of this not being endorsed by the Hendrix foundation.
They seemed to have creamed off most of his creations.
But this stands out and would appeal to many Hendrix fans.
We all have his recordings and know how special he was and still is.
It is also a 3 disc set which is amazing,about 3 hours.
If you shop around you will find it inexpensive to buy.
I would recommend it no problems

This documentary is a very good watch even for the novice Hendrix addict, what makes it all the more interesting is the short clips of unreleased footage from Newport June 22nd 1969 show and colour footage from Village Gate May 1970 which makes it worth buying just for that.
A good watch and recommended, one of the few documentary's i would recommend.

I was expecting this to be rubbish. But it was cheap. So I bought it.
It's uncritical and not a great place to start if you don't know much about Jimi Hendrix, (or aren't really that interested) but it's full of interviews from a lot of people who were around at the time (his childhood, older, being famous). This + Charles Cross Biography + the 2 Disc Jimi Hendrix - a life story + Classic Rock Albums - Electric Ladyland
and you've covered a lot of territory.
A much much better spend than "Jimi Hendrix - Videobiography"
