If you are new to capos then you will look at all those brass/alloy/chrome, modern looking things and think "These look really cool!" - and they do. But they will fail you in that when you want to get your left hand beneath the fret on which they are sitting they get right in your way! And you will only find out just how often you want to do that when you can't because the capo is stopping you.

Buy THIS capo and you will find it works perfectly and it is never in your way. Cheaper too.

I really like this capo, and I have had several over the years. For my 12-string I find that other capos do not work very well on the first few frets, whereas this one always does.

Did find with my last one that cutting a slight slot for the lowest E string helped a lot, making it unnecessary to retune it when I put the capo on--an easy fix and one I will probably do with this capo when I get my new 12-string later this week.

I have owned one of these capos for many years and it has always served me well. Although a little more fiddly than a trigger style capo it is also considerably cheaper hence why I purchased this when I was first starting playing guitar 2 or 3 years ago.
I would recommend it to any guitar player as it is certainly long lasting :)

I had one of these as a semi-professional guitarist playing folk clubs 30 years ago and it was ideal then. Recently I came back to playing the guitar and foolishly bought a cheaper version of this style of capo, it was pointless. The Jim Dunlop version just works really well, it's neat, unobtrusive, well made and feels right.

Nice product, used this on my acoustic 12 string.
I always trust Jim dunlop products, so it was a no brainer, that I would buy this.
Lovely product

Been around for many years and part of the Jim Dunlop extensive range of guitar accessories, this capo is a simple, efficient and cost effective device. When compared with other capos, it is unobtrusive, involving minimal interference with fingering.
Initially fitting is a bit 'fiddly' but soon becomes second nature.
Available for flat or curved fingerboards - remember to select the correct on - or buy two!!

It's OK but much prefer the G7th & Shubb capos. Can be a bit fiddly to fit and not as quick as I thought it might be, and, if you have a thicker neck Gibson (50's neck profile) you may struggle a bit with this one. Have used Jim Dunlop products for many years throughout my playing career but not too impressed with this one.
