I bought the book unseen, working on a write up from an on line bead group. When I read it,I was itching to get started. It makes life so easy when you are shown stage by stage, step by step. SO, if you are new to wire wrapping, buy the book and start to make professional loooking pieces today

Clear and easy to follow, with beautiful illustrations and photography, this book makes the art of wire-wrapping look easy. With lots of practice, I hope to achieve the same gorgeous finish to the easily-made pieces included. Highly recommended.

I was a little disappointed with this book. You see the bangle/bracelet on the cover? Well that is pretty much it. This book is variations on a theme. For the most part, it is around 70% that bracelet design with variations on how to bend the wire into different shapes and angles to give a slightly different look or how to add beads and/or stones (using a snap-set prong setting). Just so you don't get bored with a complete range of bracelets, there are a couple of pendants, earrings and a ring design thrown in for good measure.

Ok, now putting the monotony of available projects aside, the book is good for beginners because it has step by step idiot-proof, clearly identifiable pictures of what you need to do and how to do it. For that it gets top marks. It gives some good hints and tips along the way so you really can learn how to make...well... bracelets really! Now don't get me wrong, the slightly varied designs are actually quite simple but attractive and should appeal to the masses, nothing way out or gawdy, very flattering and elegant designs, so again, for that, it wins a star.

If nothing else you will become a bracelet expert and this really should be expressed more clearly in the book's title or description. It is not a varied collection of jewellery wrapping projects, it is a pretty narrow focused topic of, did I mention bracelets???

So all in all. If you like arm attire and want to pick up some good practices in using wire for creating jewellery, then this is for you. If you are a complete beginner, then this is for you. But this book in itself will not teach you wire wrapping as it simply does not include enough variation in its projects and wire wrapping encompasses so much more.

This book is not the best on the market about wire wrapping while it gives some info on textured wire I did not know about.
The projects are made by using square wire which is unusual. I would only recommend for those who are looking for ideas rather than starting out in wire wrapping (For beginners ASIN:1861088426 Wire Jewelry Masterclass is great).

I love all the bangles and various ways to change them. The only thing is with it being an American book, they use square and half round wire, and not all the guages are available to us in the UK, but it is a beautiful book and I cannot wait to try out some of the techniques.

Not for the complete novice and you will need a basic set up and tools but I found this book very helpful with great projects. I had sellable pieces within a day of opening this book. These pieces are quite structured but can be easily adapted.
