Ok, now putting the monotony of available projects aside, the book is good for beginners because it has step by step idiot-proof, clearly identifiable pictures of what you need to do and how to do it. For that it gets top marks. It gives some good hints and tips along the way so you really can learn how to make...well... bracelets really! Now don't get me wrong, the slightly varied designs are actually quite simple but attractive and should appeal to the masses, nothing way out or gawdy, very flattering and elegant designs, so again, for that, it wins a star.
If nothing else you will become a bracelet expert and this really should be expressed more clearly in the book's title or description. It is not a varied collection of jewellery wrapping projects, it is a pretty narrow focused topic of, did I mention bracelets???
So all in all. If you like arm attire and want to pick up some good practices in using wire for creating jewellery, then this is for you. If you are a complete beginner, then this is for you. But this book in itself will not teach you wire wrapping as it simply does not include enough variation in its projects and wire wrapping encompasses so much more.Read more ›
The projects are made by using square wire which is unusual. I would only recommend for those who are looking for ideas rather than starting out in wire wrapping (For beginners ASIN:1861088426 Wire Jewelry Masterclass is great).
