It is pretty much a given that anyone reading this review will already know what to expect from this CD. You've doubtless played Jet Set Radio, and enjoyed the perky, fun soundtrack that matches the action of the game perfectly. All that remains, then, is to point out exactly what you are getting for your hard-earned cash.

Firstly, there are a couple of tracks conspicuous in their absence. Jurassic 5's excellent 'Improvise' and Guitar Vader's 'Magical Girl' do not make an appearance here. Most of the tunes are from Hideki Naganuma, with a few others offering their wares alongside.

The omission of these two tracks is a shame, but there are still gems in abundance. 'Humming The Bassline' is funky as you like, with a hook that sticks in your head for long after; 'Sweet Soul Brother' is every bit as good as you remember; and who could forget the goth disco splendour of 'Grace And Glory'? Add on a nifty medley (as per the end of the game, for those of you that got that far) and a couple of short stings, and you have a lovely little package of joyful boogie.

All in all, this is a wonderful curio for fans of the game, well worth it if you can find it at a price that suits.

Whether you're spray painting the walls of a dark, neon-lit dystopia or just lazily sat on your sofa, Hideki Naganuma's skill for crafting joyfully insane music will always come through. This is way more than a soundtrack to a game; it's a celebration of the wonders of sampling, scratching and expressing yourself through your music. I fathom you can't do this!

This cd also contains lots of multi media content once inserted into a p.c. including wallpapers and video.
Special note that Jurrasic 5 and Guitar Vaders tracks do not appear on this album which is pretty gutting as super brothers and magical girl are great,I know that Magical girl is on the album "Die Happy!" so im guessing that Super brothers is aswell.
A gem of a game when sega were really Good at what they did and a great soundtrack, well worth investing in if you enjoyed the music all those years ago.
End boss Music and "about the city" are worth £10 alone!

Amazing, Something Different and Enjoyable 14 April 2002
By LoserWithoutThought - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Audio CD
This soundtrack is amazing. The Game Jet Set(Grind in the US) Radio was and still is one of the reasons to have a Dreamcast. The best part about it though (and this is saying a lot) was the music. This CD has nearly all of the best tracks. There are some missing that were put into the US version but they weren't as good and as innovative as the ones here. I was sour to the music industry until I heard this music. Not commercial, no subliminal messages, no story to tell, no anything like that, it is just [great] music. If you have become sour to the music industry this CD will renew your faith. So different and so great you can't help but like these tracks. I only wish more people would listen to it or not just dismiss it as "weird Japanesee [stuff]" because it is something anyone can like. My only complaint is that they didn't include Deavid Soul or Guitar Vader (they have some of the best tracks in the game) but Hideki Naganuma's music won't make you miss them too much.
If you like music, get this.

The BEST game soundtrack ever!!! 2 Jun. 2001
By Brian Duffy - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Audio CD
This game is the core of originality. Youre a gang member who skates around in a futuristiky tokyo spraypainting your collected and created graffiti tags all over. The game's attitude would be nothing without this amazing soundtrack. Literally EVERY song is awesome. J-pop, techno, house, hip hop, funk. If youre a fan of ANY of those, you MUST buy this soundtrack. It is worth the import price. you just have to get it. I love it so much. When I get a car w/cd changer, this is going in first.

This is an awesome CD. Music from the game Jet Set Radio (Jet Grind Radio in the U.S.), the music is simply incredible. This game has the best music of any game ever, period. A mixture of Techno, Hip-Hop, and Rock, these songs are simply awesome. This is definately a must-buy.
GREAT MUSIC FOR DJ's 15 July 2014

I like this music simply because it's some of the best electronic music I have ever heard. Hideki Naganuma is a great artist and I have talked with him, he is very humble man you should check out all his music work it's worth your time. The production is superb and on point it has a
OK IM GONNA SAY THIS FIRST SINCE NO ONE HAS STATED IT YET. THE CD COMES WITH MORE THAN JUST THE TRACKS LISTED, THERE ARE ALSO SAMPLES OF THE CHARTERS VOICES, CERTAIN LOOPS, AND EVEN HIDEKI NAGANUMA'S PERSONAL SAMPLES. THERE IS ALSO WALL PAPERS AND CALENDARS FOR 2001. THESE EXTRAS REALLY MAKE IT WORTH IT FOR A FAN BOY OF THE GAME.

Jet grind radio has a sense of flow to it that keeps your ears wanting more. The style is very happy unlike most electronic music that seems deep and depressing. This is the finest in Japanese synth-pop.

The music is very similar to ssx tricky sound track as well as a few fantastic plastic machine's tracks. Been playing the game since it has been out, I currently use the music to DJ with at bars and clubs, people are like what is that music. Then the next time they show up its like JET SET RADIO!!!!!
Met every expectation I had 3 Jun. 2013
By Mason Saavedra - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Audio CD
I received the PS Vita version of the original game for free through PlayStation Plus, and instantly fell in love with it. I'd been looking for a reasonable (legal) way to obtain the track "'Bout the City" as well as a few others, but they weren't available in the 2012 downloadable edition of the soundtrack due to licensing. Then I found this, and I couldn't be happier with it. The product arrived in perfect condition; no problems or issues whatsoever. The sound quality is nearly flawless; much better than the clipping and looping that occurs in the game itself. Not every track that is featured in the game is included. However, many of the omissions are licensed tracks from various outside artists, so this is understandable. Overall, a must have for every fan of the game.
