Within the wide realm of Philosophy, Don Cupitt chooses to centre on Moral philosophy. Within the vast realms of Jesus scholarship, he selects that narrow band of verses recognised by the Jesus Seminar to be genuine Jesus. He then demonstrates that Jesus taught a balanced practical way of life taught by many other sages throughout history and within Philosophy. Here is Cupitt exploring Scripture and using it well. An exciting, practical book. I hope Richard Dawkins, who would proudly wear a teeshirt proclaiming 'Atheists for Jesus', has read this one. For believers and non believers alike, this is a thoughtful and creative account. It is also easy to read, with short accessible chapters.
