More About the Author

A pioneering self-originating Irish author: Mystical minded Richard Mc Sweeney of Eire (Ireland) is a happy practitioner of the ancient art of self-originating artistry: delighting in giving written shape and form to the integrity of the individual voice. He lived in the Far East for some thirteen years before moving to the Middle East where he spent three years in Jeddah, KSA, and a further three in Sharjah, UAE. While concurrently working as a fulltime lecturer in the Department of English Language & Literature in the University of Seoul, South Korea he gained a BA in Korean Language & Literature from Kyunggi University, and a MA in Classical Chinese Philosophy from Seoul National University, both of which he accomplished through the mediums of Korean and Classical Chinese. Richard a nuptial hermit, and father of two dwells on his native island home. His work may be said to be contemplative fiction couched in a charming prose poetic style. His motivation stems from the idea that as an oak tree in his green desert isle flourishes so will he; timely producing fruit of rarest quality and texture for all to see and in-joy.

~ The vision of myself ~

The vision of myself given years ago is for a coming season.
All along along along has it been faithfully moving towards its fulfilment.
Throughout the length of days n' nights it seemed at times to be tarrying n' ever so far off, yet, now it is nearing.
And I am as in the days of yore serenely waiting for it; for it is coming to the world as surely as the seasons are to the valleys n' hills here about on the isle.
For behold, the One who has been carrying as a precious treasure this vision neither slumbers nor sleeps.
