About the Author
Andrew Murray (May 9, 1828 – January 18, 1917) was a South African writer, teacher, and Christian pastor. Murray considered missions to be "the chief end of the church." (wikipedia.org) Excerpt from the book: The words, from which I want to present a simple message, will be found in the Gospel according to St. Luke, the 24th chapter and the 31st verse: "And their eyes were opened, and they knew Him." Some time since, I preached a sermon with the words "Jesus Himself" as the text; and as I went home I said to those who were walking with me: "How possible it is to have Jesus Himself with us and never to know it, and how possible to preach of, and to listen to, all the truth about Jesus Himself and yet not to know Him." I cannot say what a deep impression was made upon me as I thought over it. --This text refers to the Paperback edition.

It explains clearly the joy of following Jesus, of coming to know Him personally, and of living in His Presence. I urge all Christians and those seeking a closer relationship with Jesus to read this book.
Doing so may just change the direction of your life ...
Absolutely loved this book as it reminded me of the simple truth. To know him fully I must believe in him and know that he is always with me. Every waking moment must be in him. So simply and beautifully written. Beneficial for the new and the mature in faith. A gem. Refreshing spring for the thirsty.
And are a true and accurate description of our LORD`S precious word. As a young Christian I have read various books by different authors and have often been confused by differing opinions and interpretations as to what is correct and what is not, I pray for discernment when choosing or reading books and have never felt anything other than truly blessed by all of Andrew Murray's books....The Holy Bible is the living word of GOD brought to life in each and every readers heart as it convicts, guides and blesses us and it is my opinion that Andrew Murray most definitely walked with the LORD and was blessed greatly and I for one appreciate immensely that he has chosen to share that blessing with us.....Awesome.
Here are two essays giving a call to deeper intimacy with Christ. The first is a study in the Emmaus Road encounter, unpacking various stages we go through in our relationship with Jesus and highlighting where many become stuck. Rather than leaving the reader discouraged it stimulates hunger to really know Him.
