Many people would like to have a more rounded picture of Jesus than the gospels portray. How did Jesus Mother feel as he left home and her on a radically different career to most? If Jesus a Novel impresses upon us anything, it must be that God himself took on human flesh and lived amoung us. Walter Wangerin uses his experience as a believer to make Jesus life relevant to people in today's culture. Take a read you might just be surprised and learn something too!

Anyone familiar with the Bible and the Bible story of Jesus' life will know that there are huge gaps ... Mr Wangerin Jr, by virtue of his spiritual intuition, fills in those gaps and, although it may be interpreted as being a novel, it opens thought to the understanding that this extraordinary man, Jesus, lived with a sense of urgency and purpose and obtained such glorious transcendence of understanding that he knew his immortality.

There are better books around but none that wrap it all into a novel, like this does. Language style can be off putting for some but I liked it. If you are looking for a book on this try Messiah by Jerry D. Thomas, It may bring tears to your eyes. There is a Kindle version of Messiah available with links to marketplace bound versions.
